CASSIE BENCE: U10 HEAD COACH

Cassie started playing field hockey at the age of 12 by attending summer camps coached by alumni from her high school. She continued to play through middle school for University School of Milwaukee. Cassie played through all four years of high school and, coached by Tom Carter her senior year, her team won the trophy in the Gateway tournament in Illinois as well as the Wisconsin State Championship. 

She is currently attending UW-Milwaukee, studying Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering with Water Resources. She is part of a student group called Engineers Without Borders where she designs, fundraises and implements water systems for villages in the highlands of Guatemala that have no means of running water. 

Cassie began her coaching career at USM as the Assistant Middle School Coach at the 7th and 8th grade level in the fall of 2012. She then became a coach at MKEFHC in the summer of 2013 assisting with the U10 program. Cassie continues coaching at USM at the Junior Varsity level and has assisted with varying levels of age groups for MKEFHC. 

Cassie is CPR and First Aid Certified and is also a certified NFHS Scholastic Field Hockey coach.
